Ligue 1 Broadcast Guide 2025-26 — TNT Sports UK Rights

Ligue 1 rights in the UK sit with TNT Sports for 2025-26. Editorial guide to French top-flight broadcast slots, kickoff times, and UK access.

Ligue 1’s UK broadcast rights sit with TNT Sports for the 2025-26 season. Selected matches air on TNT Sports’ linear channels with full coverage on Discovery+. The package replaces the Amazon Prime UK Ligue 1 deal that ended after 2023-24.

Ligue 1 is France’s top division. Eighteen clubs play 34 matchdays from August to May. Paris Saint-Germain are the dominant force, with eleven Ligue 1 titles in the past thirteen seasons. The club’s domestic dominance contrasts with its European struggles, though Champions League progression has improved post-Mbappé.

Where Ligue 1 matches air

TNT Sports carries the rights via its sport channels. The Saturday evening showcase match (9pm French time, 8pm UK time) airs on TNT Sports 2 most weeks. Other matches stream on Discovery+ with on-demand access.

Discovery+ Premium at £30.99 a month gives full TNT Sports access including Ligue 1, Champions League, Europa League, and Premier League’s TNT slate.

Match scheduling

Ligue 1 matchweeks spread across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday hosts one match at 9pm French time. Saturday has the main 5pm matchday block plus a 9pm feature game. Sunday runs three matches at 1pm, 3pm, and 8:45pm French time.

UK kick-off times are French time minus one hour. Friday 8pm, Saturday 4pm and 8pm, Sunday 12 noon, 2pm, and 7:45pm in UK time.

Ligue 1 clubs to watch in 2025-26

Paris Saint-Germain remain the favourites despite Kylian Mbappé’s 2024 departure to Real Madrid. The squad still features Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Ousmane Dembélé, and the Luis Enrique system that secured Champions League progress.

Olympique de Marseille, AS Monaco, and Lille are the regular Champions League qualifying contenders. OGC Nice, Stade Rennais, and Olympique Lyonnais battle for Europa League and Conference League spots.

The promoted clubs from Ligue 2 face a sharp fitness step up. Recent promoted sides have struggled with relegation candidacy.

TNT Sports access for UK viewers

Discovery+ Premium covers Ligue 1 plus all other TNT Sports football. The streaming-only route is £30.99 a month, no contract.

BT/EE broadband customers add TNT Sports for £18 a month within their broadband contract. Sky TV customers can add TNT Sports as a £18-£25 monthly bolt-on.

A standalone Ligue 1 subscription is not available in the UK.
